Before purchasing any books or video trainings for learning Photoshop, I strongly suggest you read Adobe's guide to using Photoshop CS5. Of course, it's free. You can access the PDF or HTML version of the guide. You will also find free video training on their website (Adobe TV) and many more free shows for learning Adobe software.
